Braised Spring Green (Collard) Hearts Recipe

Ingredients :

450 g

3-4 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

1 tablespoon

Spring green (collard) hearts

Oil

Salt

Sugar

Light soy sauce

Method :
  • There is very little preparation.

  • Just trim off the hard and tough roots if any.

  • Parboil the greens in a pot of boiling water for about 1 minute and then rise them in cold water to preserve their bright green color.

  • Heat the oil in a hot wok or frying pan and stir-fry the greens with salt and sugar.

  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes.

  • Add the soy sauce and a little water and braise for another minute at the most.

  • Serve hot.
