Beef Liver in Coconut Milk Recipe (Kalio Hati)

Ingredients :

500 cc

Spice (ground)

Coconut milk from 1 coconut

Turmeric leaf, torn, knotted

Lemon grass, bruised

Kaffir lime leaves

Asam Gelugur

Beef liver, cut into 3 cm cubes

Red chilies

Chopped galangal

Chopped ginger

Chopped turmeric

Shallots

Coriander, roasted

Salt

Method :
  • Bring to the boil coconut milk with ground spice and other ingredients except the liver.
  • Cook until the gravy thickens.
  • Add liver and simmer over low heat until the gravy is thick and oily.
  • Remove the leaves before serving.
  • Serve hot.
